Architects of War is very happy to say we will be represented at the Williamsburg Muster Convention, in Williamsburg , Virginia, coming this weekend, by Steve at Age of Glory.

He will have a small selection of our own product and a selection of some of the many lines we carry including a good inventory of Perry, Gripping Beast, and Immortal plastics.
Steve also carries the wonderful Perry metal range as well.
If you get a chance to go, please stop by and say hi. He is a very nice guy and knows more than a thing or to about miniatures!

News From AOW about Renedra!

We are very happy to announce that we have added Renedra to our growing Exclusive Distribution brands for North America. We will be stocking all of their products and selling them to retailers and through our own website.
For those unfamiliar with Renedra, they produce the plastics for Perry Miniatures, Gripping Beast, Warlord Games, Mantic, Conquest Games, Immortal Miniatures and others, They are the premier plastic manufacturer in the Historical gaming market. Combining modern technology with old world craftsmanship, they are the best of the best , and we are very happy to represent them here in the U.S.
Besides doing the tooling for some of the best miniatures around, Renedra make a fantastic and growing range of accessories. Tents, fences, and bases are just the start, with much more to come.
This now brings Perry Miniatures Plastics, Gripping Beast, and Renedra together under one roof for the North American market. In addition we carry Immortal, Conquest, LBMS, Warlord Games, Woodland Scenics, and Battleflag.
Of course, our own ranges of terrain and now figures continues to expand and we have many excited new products coming in the next few months.
We are trying hard to be the best place to get 28mm Historical Miniatures in the US, and with Renedra we have just taken another step closer to our goal.
We should have all the product in and up on the web site within the next two weeks.

Resist the Norman Conquest of England!

Hot off the plane, the Gripping Beast Saxons have arrived!!!

(Well not hot really. They have been setting in customs in Cincinnati, and Barb and I had to spend most of the day shoveling snow so we could get the DHL truck in here but who cares about that...)

You get 44 plastic 28mm Saxons for a price of less than 70 cents each...They are great models and build into a fantastic shield wall. Use it to stop the equally great Gripping Beast Vikings...

Or , use your new Saxon shield wall to stop the Conquest Plastic Normans from invading England!
One VERY important point about Gripping Beast plastics is that they are SUPPORTED by one of the most extensive ranges of reasonably priced metal miniatures around for the Dark Ages. Fantastic characterful models, vignettes, all major troop types and more. We carry the entire line, and if you are a "true" Dark Age fan you should definitely browse here:

Zouaves!!!

The Perry Zouaves are coming!!!
I just can't ...I don't have...oh boy am I excited!!!!
We don't really go all in for the pre order thing, but as the Perrys Official NA Distributor I am sure we will have stock as soon as we can. We will put these up for Preorder in the webstore asap.
We were waiting for Alan to post on TMP first.
The pants on these plastic models are stunningly done. Renedra and the Perrys have outdone themselves. Old school craftsmanship of exceptional quality.
I can't WAIT to take a paint brush to these...oh and for my French Foreign Legion gaming too...

Long live Alan and Michael! Huzzah!!!

American Uncivil War Game Pictures

Computer companies post " in game" shots or screen shots. I am not an expert on any of that!

I have fallen behind on our American Uncivil war Skirmish rules however, and wanted to post some pictures to show the project is VERY much still "on" as they say. This coming Saturday we have another playtest session.

These photos were taken at today's "pre-test" game if you will, and I wanted to post them to show that something was happening!

We have also been getting questions about "does that stuff work with... are the figures compatible with... etc." I try to answer these as best I can in a timely fashion. Hopefully these pictures will be helpful on that front too.

A lot of the figures you see are our new ones of course from our American Uncivil War range. Others include Perry Plastics ACW, Perry metal ACW, Foundry ACW (sculpted by the Perrys) and some Redoubt figures.

All of the terrain is either AoW or Barb's Bunker. One of the farm houses is a Perry plastic kit and the larger white house is an old Herb Gundt HG Walls laser kit.

After this coming Saturday's playtest, I will do a real battle report discussing the rules, showing some excerpts, and discussing the players feelings about the game. There were many characters at play today, and I think a "taster" of how they work will be of interest.

For more information about today's little battle, you can also visit: http://lairoftheubergeek.blogspot.com/

More ACW Figures, Barn Sneek Peek

Hello All and Happy New Year!

Sorry there hasn't been a blog posting for awhile but the Holidays kept us very busy both professionally and personally.

Barb and I would both like to say thanks for your strong support last year.

One of our most popular items from the Barb's BUNKER days was the old Wooden Barn. It was deliberately made to work for many periods. I am very please to report that we have executed it now as a very easy to build kit with laser cut parts, metal details and a nice cast base (See Picture Above). It has a wonderful "plank by plank" look but, the walls and roof are only about 10 pieces and tabbed for easy construction!!The Wooden Barn should be on sale within 3 weeks.
Here are the pictures of two NEW figure packs we just added to our American Uncivil War Range which has been received well. They are a pack of Union Skirmishers and a band of very Despicable Deserters. Barb is putting them into the Web store as I write this.

More news coming soon. I am working as fast as possible on our forthcoming rule set which is now running late...
