New Stuff and Fall In

First off, a BIG THANKS for all your support at the Fall In convention. Despite the weather, we had the best Fall In with regards to sales yet. Thanks to our volunteer force of Mike, Dave, and McGristle. We couldn't have done it without you!

SAGA continues to just blow out the door. We have plenty of rulebooks, war bands, paint sets, and blisters on hand. Unfortunately Gripping Beast is still behind on the dice but we will get them as soon as we can!

Our Pacific and Jungle products are now up for sale on our website. This line has gotten a great reception and we are very grateful to all that have purchased it over the phone and at the Fall In show. We have actually sold out of a few items but more are coming in next week. Might want to preorder those - they are as hot as a flamethrower! Don't forget the jungles and huts work for Pirates and various other locales like Darkest Africa if the Pacific isn't your bag (but it should be!)

We are now taking pre-orders on the Hail Caeser Army List book which was do in this week but there was a mix-up with our order and they won't make it until next week.

It's time to order the new Perry plastic British Hussars. I can't wait to get my greedy little mitts on these. I want to do a couple boxes up immediately for the Kings German Legion Hussars operating in Spain. They often had to come to the rescue of a certain Sharp looking man and his Irish Sergeant companion... These should be in within a couple of weeks.

Keep an eye on our website in the next couple of weeks for Holiday Bundle Deals!

WW2 European Bunker

While we were away braving the snow and the show at Fall In in Lancaster, one of our good customers did a quick conversion job on our new Jungle Bunker (Yes, Already!!!)

Here is what Dick had to say about it with pictures of his finished work below:

I fancied I could create a European version of the Architects of War Jungle Bunker. I thought about making it part of some Normandy Bocage terrain I am working on but found in the end that its suitalbe for anywhere in the European Theater of Operations.

Architects of War provide everything you need for the jungle version. It's very easy to put together and I did my version in about 3 hours! All I really did was flock the base and leave off the jungle plants.

A of W really know how to satisfy the needs of modelers and gamers alike. No fiddly parts and solid construction.

I started by washing the two castings and allowing them to dry. Then I undercoated them with brown spray. The tree parts require you to drill out the points where the branches are added. That took all of five minutes.

Next I glued the trees in place making sure to match up the foilage and painted them adding moss on what would be the northside of the larger trunk and the dead tree sections on the ground. Aof W provides plenty of foliage to conceal the bunker roof joint. I added camo netting made from gauze wound dressing stained greem to which I added some Silfor branches to the the top and side of the bunker and used the netting to conceal the gun slit and entrance.

Fun and easy to do and another fine addition to my 28mm terrrain collection. Now I just need to get an MG42 crew...

Cheers
Dick
